Snickerdoodles

Serves: 3 dozen
- 1 cup butter
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 ¾ cups flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- Cream butter with 1 ½ cups sugar
- Add eggs; beat until combined
- Sift the dry ingredients together
- Add to butter and sugar; beat until combined
- Form balls the size of walnuts; put in a plastic bag
- Freeze overnight
- Combine the 2 T sugar and 2 t cinnamon
- Remove cookies from the freezer
- Roll in cinnamon/sugar mixture
- Place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper
- Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes
- Cool on rack
