Ingredients
  • 3 cups distilled water (distilled water is considered “hungry water” because it lacks minerals so the water is more efficient at drawing out the nutrients from the herbs
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • ⅓ cup fresh ginger, peeled & cut into slices
  • 1 turmeric root, peeled; cut in fourths
  • 3 whole cloves (optional—good for getting rid of mucus in the throat and lungs)
  • Fresh mint from your garden
Instructions
  1. Put everything in a glass mason jar
  2. Leave in the refrigerator overnight
  3. Put all the ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 20 minutes
  4. Turn off the heat, cover, and steep for 20 minutes
  5. Pour into 2 cups and let cool for 20 minutes to avoid burning your esophagus
  6. Drink.
