🖤🧡HALLOWEEN FINGERNAIL POLISH BOUQUETS 🧡This is a super fun and unique way of making a Halloween bouquet of pumpkin flowers in all the colors of Halloween—purple, black, orange, and green! I 🖤saw this activity in Better Homes & Garden and decided to try it out with the grandkids last year. 💛The supplies are simple and can be found at the Dollar Store—pumpkin picks (if you’re going to make a bouquet), fingernail polish in Halloween colors, a bucket, and room-temperature water. 🧡Do this outside! Fill the bucket with water, drop fingernail polish in the water, and have the kids dip their pumpkins into the water and polish. 🖤When they are happy with their colors—take them out and dry them—the drying part takes a few hours (during which time you can bake up a storm in the kitchen!) 💛Create a bouquet, and tie it together with a Halloween ribbon—a fun gift to give someone! 🖤🧡Details: link in bio #halloweenactivities #halloweenactivitiesforkids #halloween

🖤🧙‍♀️HALLOWEEN SENSORY FUN---DIGGING IN JELL-O FOR HALLOWEEN PARAPHERNALIA! 🧡🐈‍⬛This is a re-run from last year that our grandkids had such fun doing, we repeated it again this year! 💛🎃You need Jell-O, Halloween doo-dads (Dollar Store), and spoons or kid-size tweezers—that’s it! 🖤👿Make up the Jell-O—one dish per child, and when the Jell-O is melted, add all the Halloween paraphernalia & set in the fridge. 🖤🎃MAKING & BAKING COLOR FLOW HALLOWEEN COOKIES! 🧡🧙‍♀️My husband took cake decorating classes in the 80s—and won awards for his cakes. Forty-plus years later, he’s honing his cookie-decorating skills. 💛🐈‍⬛We’ve done all kinds of cookie decorating with our grandkids—regular frosting, bags of frosting, and different ways of decorating. 🖤🐈‍⬛This time, we attempted to teach them color flow—which is a bit trickier. 🧡👿These pictures are cookies the grandkids did—not perfect but not too bad for their first try. We took them one by one to show them each step individually. 💛🧙‍♀️WARNING: To be honest, I’m not a fan of color-flow frosting. Cookies made from color-flow frosting usually turn out darling, but the frosting gets as hard as cement. 🖤🧙‍♀️HALLOWEEN HAUNTED HOUSES 🧡🐈‍⬛Last year, I purchased ready-to-make Halloween haunted houses at $15/each. This year I opted to go less expensive because the store-bought variety was too big for the grandkids to complete. 💛👿You make these by “gluing” graham crackers together with melted sugar. 🖤👻Then give your kids/grandkids (even a 2-year-old can do this) lots of things to decorate their houses with—including plastic construction pieces in Halloween colors. 🧡🎃These were TOTALLY decorated by the kids and they didn’t want any input from us—including when they decided to frost over the front door! 💛👾PS: If you see any black teeth or black faces in these pictures it’s because the kids were licking the black frosting as they decorated their houses—oops! 🖤🐈‍⬛Details: link in bio #halloweenactivities #halloweenactivitiesforkids #halloween

🖤🐈‍⬛THE CUTEST HALLOWEEN CATS, EVER! 🧡🐈‍⬛I saw this on @artprojectsforkids and thought these would make great Halloween black cats! 💛🐈‍⬛Years ago, my kids took classes using the Monart method—learning how to draw with step-by-step instructions and combining different shapes--@artprojectsforkids is similar. 🖤🐈‍⬛We used black poster paper and metallic markers to make these fun cats.
